The new painting project "FLOWERS" will be previewed throughout the month of October 2026 at the F. Camona Civic Library in Gravellona Toce, during the XXXIV edition of the "Gravellonese Cultural October 2026" event. After November 2026, the exhibition will travel for four weeks to the "Atelier di ART-UUR" art gallery, Lisperstraat 60, 2500 LIER (Belgium). The intention is to continue the exhibition at other Italian galleries during 2027.
Flowers are the protagonists of this painting exhibition. Most of the works depict the spontaneous and wild flora that grows in the meadows, woods, or mountains of the area where the artist lives and works. Other paintings depict the aquatic flora found in the gardens of Villa Taranto. The water lily ponds offer breathtaking glimpses of light and color reflected in the calm waters. There will be around thirty works on display, most in oil on canvas or panel. Other small and medium-sized paintings are frescoes and watercolors.
Mauro Borgotti was born in Verbania in 1964, lives and works in Mergozzo (VB). Painter and graphic designer, always attracted by colors and landscapes, in the 1990s he decided to frequent the ateliers of established impressionist painters, to deepen and perfect the technique. Thanks to them he discovered the magical harmony of work carried out on site, of painting "en plein air". He has exhibited in various group and solo exhibitions in Italy, obtaining excellent feedback from critics. His works appear in public and private collections in Italy and abroad.
Mauro Borgotti makes commissioned paintings with oil technique on canvas or panel. The dimensions vary from a minimum of 50 x 40 cm up to a maximum of 120 x 100 cm. The main subjects covered are: landscape, portraits, figurative scenes.
